Southwest Georgia Oil Company, Inc., a leader in the fuel and convenience store industry will introduce biodiesel as an alternative fuel in South Georgia and the surrounding areas. Biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel that will be produced by refining domestic, renewable resources and can be used in existing diesel engines with little or no modifications.
To ensure that a quality product is being produced, Southwest Georgia Oil, Inc. is a member of the National Biodiesel Board and our product will comply with ASTM D6751 standards as set by the Environmental Protection Agency. In short, Southwest Georgia Oil Company, Inc.’s goal is to produce a quality, alternative fuel that is environmentally friendly and will meet the needs of our diesel customers.
Construction of the biodiesel plant is scheduled to begin in late August of 2006 with production of biodiesel starting during the first quarter of 2007. Please check our website for regular progress reports.
